Whether you prefer traditional lemon & sugar, butterscotch, nutella with bananas & cream, savoury or sweet, Dave’s pancakes are perfect every time!

This year, Dave is introducing Blueberry pancakes.  Added to the mix before cooking, the blueberries then burst with flavour in the pancake as it cooks.

Up at the crack of dawn, Dave is gently frying & flipping his perfect pancakes, ready for the early birds looking for the traditional pancake on their way to work.
Available for takeaway or to savour with a tea or coffee, Pancakes are available in Restaurant 104 all day on Shrove Tuesday.

And do you know why we eat pancakes on this special day?
Pancakes are eaten on Pancake Tuesday because they contain fat, butter and eggs which were forbidden during Lent. Shrove Tuesday is celebrated the day before Ash Wednesday and is therefore the final day before the commencement of Lent, a Christian festival leading up to Easter Sunday.

“Shrove” means being forgiven for wrong-doings. So, come on in and absolve your sins with some delicious pancakes, however you like them.
